Eco Ring Hong Kong Limited (“Eco Ring”) processes a significant amount of personal data in the course of its operations. We recognise the importance of protecting personal data. This Privacy Policy describes the purposes for which we collect personal data and the measures we take to protect it.

1) Purposes of Personal Data Use

Eco Ring uses collected personal data for the following purposes:

1.1) If you shop on the Eco Ring webstore and/or any third‑party online sales platforms:

  • 1.1.1) Operation of the Eco Ring webstore, notifications of new products and services.
  • 1.1.2) To enable ongoing use of the webstore: member registration, shopping, auction transactions.
  • 1.1.3) Conducting surveys to improve service quality and promotion of events related to Eco Ring's business.

  • 1.1.6) Assessing transaction eligibility, monitoring transaction status after commencement, and credit management.
  • 1.1.7) Verifying customer identity to prevent unauthorised transactions.

1.2) If you consign items at an Eco Ring buyback/consignment store:

  • 1.2.1) Management of the Eco Ring membership system and notifications of new products and services.
  • 1.2.2) Providing points and offers shown in the membership system.
  • 1.2.3) Registering consigned items under the consignor’s name for identification.
  • 1.2.4) Conducting surveys to improve service quality and promotion of events related to Eco Ring's business.
  • 1.2.5) Responding to enquiries and contacting consignors.
  • 1.2.6) Assessing transaction eligibility, monitoring transaction status, and credit management.
  • 1.2.7) Evaluating items and verifying consignor identity to prevent unauthorised transactions.

1.3) If you are a job applicant or an employee:

  • 1.3.1) Recruitment screening and notifying interview results.
  • 1.3.2) Assessing suitability for roles at Eco Ring.
  • 1.3.3) Personnel and business contact purposes.
  • 1.3.4) Performing personnel management duties required under Hong Kong employment regulations (including contact after employment termination where necessary).

2) Disclosure to and Use by Third Parties

Except where required by a court order or with the data subject’s consent, Eco Ring will not provide collected personal data to third parties for use outside the purposes set out in this policy.

Where Eco Ring engages third‑party service providers to process personal data (in whole or in part), we select providers that meet our personal data protection standards. We also monitor and audit service providers on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance.

Eco Ring periodically reviews this policy, updates internal rules and trains staff in response to developments in information technology and changes in society to ensure personal data protections remain up to date.

3) Types of Personal Data Collected

3.1) If you shop on the Eco Ring webstore and/or third‑party sales platforms:

  • 3.1.1) When registering as a webstore member, except mandatory fields, other fields are optional. You may choose whether to provide optional personal data, but if required fields are not provided correctly we may be unable to provide services.
  • 3.1.2) Recipient name, phone number and delivery address required by couriers for shipping.
  • 3.1.3) The username or identifier used for third‑party sales platforms, mobile payment apps and FPS at payment.

3.2) If you consign items at an Eco Ring buyback/consignment store:

We may collect name, gender, phone number, and whole or partial identity document number (collected only on first‑time consignors). Providing personal data is optional, but required fields must be filled correctly for us to provide services.

3.3) If you are a job applicant or an employee:

We may collect name, gender, date of birth, address, phone number, email, and personnel evaluation information.

4) Access, Correction and Other Requests

Data subjects may request Eco Ring to notify or disclose the purposes for which personal data is used, and may request correction, addition, deletion, cessation or suspension of use, or cessation of disclosure to third parties. Eco Ring respects these rights and will process requests sincerely and promptly.

Eco Ring uses services provided by third‑party vendors who may deploy cookies on the website. Any data collected by third parties is subject to those third parties’ privacy policies. Eco Ring endeavours to ensure that such policies meet appropriate standards.
